Joel the Menace, Keeper of the Cherry Forest
Joel (known in-game as Studio_144122) is one of the server’s founding players, joining immediately after the owner and becoming the second player to ever enter the world. Over time, he became infamous as the self-appointed guardian of the spawn cherry blossom forest.
Joel is known for aggressively protecting cherry trees and treating the biome as sacred territory. After a conflict involving the player Surerevning, Joel publicly declared:
“ANYONE WHO HARMS A CHERRY TREE FROM THE FOREST AT SPAWN WILL DIE.”
The statement included threats of repeated killings, griefing, loot confiscation, and burning enemy items, quickly cementing his reputation as both protector and menace.
Aside from his threats, Joel is also known for planting cherry saplings almost everywhere on the server, leading many players to describe spawn as being under a “cherry infestation.”
Recently, Joel constructed the Cherry Tree Park, a public area dedicated to cherry blossoms and preservation. Supporters view it as a landmark project, while critics see it as another extension of his growing influence over spawn territory.
Despite his questionable reputation, some bystanders did witness Joel to have helped stranded players, rescuing an individual trapped in deep inside the cave. However, his record is not without controversy. In one infamous incident, Joel killed another player in what witnesses described as “cold blood.” Joel later claimed the death was accidental, stating that he was attempting to strike a nearby zombie and accidentally hit the player instead. Debate over the incident continues to this day.
Joel has also become known for acts in defense of aesthetics and cherry culture. In one incident, he discovered a shed covered in cobblestone and immediately dismantled the cobblestone upon seeing it.
To some players, Joel is a dedicated environmental protector.
To others (including me), he is a horticultural extremist with PvP privileges. GatsuReads (talk) 13:26, 27 May 2026 (UTC)
